The winged lion with halo, made at the end of the fifteenth century by Ludovico Bianco, is a gilt wooden sculpture which was previously part of a group placed above the organ in the north choir. The left front foot rests on an open book with the words: "pax tibi Marce / evangelista meus" ("Peace to you, Mark my Evangelist ").
